Position: Office Assistant

Overview:

Working under the supervision of the Office Services Manager, an Office Assistant provides general office support. This is a non-exempt level position, represented by the bargaining unit.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities:

- Ability to perform all three job rotations (reception, file room, court run)
- Professionally administer all incoming phone calls.
- Ensure phone calls are redirected accordingly.
- Greet guests in a professional, friendly and hospitable manner.
- Distribute incoming mail and court documents.
- Manage the office filing system for closed client files.
- Assist in implementing office security and safety procedures.
- Assists in the ordering, receiving, stocking and distribution of office supplies.
- Perform various clerical duties such as typing, photocopying, scanning, faxing, burn CDs, print color photos, and collating.

Required Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities:

- Must have good command of the English language; oral and written.
- Must be punctual and able to work a set schedule.
- Ability to multi-task and follow established priorities.
- Ability to deal with standardized situations with occasional variables.
- Ability to apply common sense understanding to carry out simple instructions.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
- Ability to frequently lift and/or move up to 30 lbs.
- Ability to frequently climb up, down and balance on a step stool.
- Ability to walk 7 tenths of a mile once daily carrying up to 10lbs.

Education and/or Experience:

- High school diploma or GED.
- 6 months to 1 year of relevant experience and/or training.
- Experience in dealing effectively with people of widely divergent backgrounds.

C - 26,230.10
D - 27,977.04
E - 29,749.20
F - 31,495.88
G - 33,242.82
H - 34,406.32

Bi-weekly pay periods - A total of 26 paychecks per year.
