Position: Data Integrity Specialist
Overview:
Maintain the Metropolitan Public Defender database for assigned cases under
current contracts with the State of Oregon. The database provides billing
information from codes that identify the level(s) of cases as well as client
information used primarily for conflict checks. This is a non-exempt
level position, represented by the bargaining unit.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities:

Certify assigned cases through the preparation
of reports for the Directors and the Supreme Court Administrator's office as
well as respond to queries concerning case numbers.

Maintain a high level of accuracy in case
profiles that account for the proper billing and subsequent reopening of
previous case work.

Prepare regular data integrity reports to
mid-managers which track the number and type of cases assigned and monitor
the completion of tasks associated with the collection of important
information concerning billing and disposition outcomes.

Train read-only personnel such as legal
assistants, investigators and attorneys as well as the docketing specialists
how to use the docketing software.
Required Knowledge, Skills and Abilities:

Ability to use the Oregon Criminal codes
to properly interpret the crime listed on the charging instrument.

Must be proficient in MS word, Excel, and
database software.

Must be able to type at least 50 words per
minute.

Some analytical ability is required in
order to gather and summarize data, find solutions to various
administrative problems, and prioritize work.

Work requires continual attention to
detail, establishing priorities, and meeting deadlines.
