Overview:

For the majority of our clients, the sentencing phase of a case may be the most important and critical. For this reason attorneys must explore all possible sentencing alternatives. It is the responsibility of the Alternative Sentencing Advocate (ASA) to assess the criminogenic needs of the client and suggest sentencing alternatives, including community and corrections based programs and services. The ASA provides detailed, up-to-date program information to the attorney and the court and connects the client to the alternatives. This is an exempt level position, represented by the bargaining unit.
